The Cross River State Indigenes Development Association in Abuja has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the return of Mrs Marilyn Ogar to service and elevating her within the Department of State Services.
The praise comes after the President restored the former DSS Spokesperson to duty and moved to clear the record of former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen.
CRIDA President, Chief Sankara Dickson Unung, said in a statement on Wednesday that the President’s steps reflect a decisive respect for justice, fairness, and merit. He noted that Mrs Ogar’s reinstatement honours her years of committed service marked by integrity, courage, and professionalism.
The group also commended the elevation of Lt Gen Emmanuel Akomaye Parker Undiandeye to the position of Chief of Defence Intelligence, describing it as a fitting recognition of his contribution to national security.
CRIDA conveyed its appreciation to the Director General of the DSS, Mr Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, for the role he played in Mrs Ogar’s return. The association congratulated her for maintaining resilience and faith throughout her ordeal.
Chief Unung said the organisation remains firmly aligned with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and views the recent decisions as signs of a broader commitment to justice, merit, and national inclusion.
