A lawyer publicly claimed that a fitness (gym) instructor based in Ijebu-Ode has impregnated four women: two married and two single. The allegation appeared in a post on the gossip platform Instablog9ja on November 5, 2025.
According to the post, the trainer, whose identity remains unverified, engaged in sexual relationships with the four women during the course of his duties, allegedly exploiting client-trainer dynamics for personal gain. The post triggered widespread discussion across social media platforms, with users reacting via memes and commentary about what was referred to as “side training” sessions.
The lawyer’s claim has not yet been substantiated by the authorities: no police statement, arrest, or formal investigation has been publicly confirmed at this time. It remains unclear whether any of the alleged pregnancies have been medically or legally documented.
This case echoes earlier incidents in the region. In Ogun State, police uncovered a “baby factory” in 2022 where men were reportedly hired to impregnate girls for the purpose of selling the resulting children.

The allegation raises broader concerns about ethical standards in the fitness industry, especially regarding the boundaries between personal training and clients’ personal lives. Trainers often hold positions of trust and authority, and when that trust is breached it can result in exploitation or manipulation.
