The Nigerian Law School has officially announced the opening of applications for admission into the Bar Part II Course for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, Ms. Aderonke Osho, and shared on the Council of Legal Education’s official X account on Tuesday, the application portal will open on Monday, September 11, 2025, and close on Friday, October 31, 2025.
The session is scheduled to commence on Monday, February 2, 2026, simultaneously at the Nigerian Law School headquarters in Abuja and across its campuses in Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yenagoa, Yola, and Port Harcourt.
According to the Council, eligibility is restricted to Nigerian law graduates from accredited universities and foreign-trained law graduates who have successfully completed and passed the Bar Course at the Nigerian Law School.
Applicants are required to visit the school’s website (www.nigerianlawschooledung) for detailed application procedures. The Council also stressed that only candidates whose details have been officially forwarded to the Law School by their university registrars will be allowed to apply.
Prospective candidates have been advised to verify their eligibility with their universities before paying the non-refundable application fee. Completed forms, along with references, must be downloaded, filled, and submitted through the applicants’ respective Deans of Law on or before the October 31 deadline.
In addition, candidates seeking re-admission or clearance of referred cases are to access the “re-admission” section on the portal, attach their approval or clearance letters, and forward them to the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration at the School’s Headquarters within the same timeframe.
The Council emphasized that late applications will not be accepted, and applicants are expected to retain their application numbers, which will be required to track their admission status.
