A devastating attack by terrorists on several communities in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State has left at least six people dead and 26 others abducted. The affected communities include Sabon Gida Libere, Ungwan Ganye, Ungwan Nabara, and Kadi.
According to local sources, the terrorists launched separate attacks on the villages, unleashing terror on residents and causing widespread destruction. Aminu Khalid, a local resident, confirmed that the terrorists invaded Sabon Gida Libere on Monday, killing one person and abducting 23 others. Three people were also killed in Ungwan Nabara.
The communities have been left deserted, with many residents unable to access their farmlands due to the constant attacks. The terrorists are believed to be hiding in the nearby Agwala forest, which is located on a hill close to the Libere community.
Efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report. The attack has raised concerns about the security situation in the region and the need for government and military intervention to restore confidence in the affected communities.
